This is a mainly European based Sloughi database with search facility and pedigrees
now covering more than 4,000 Sloughis. I am currently helping to
keep it up-to-date and would be very interested in any Sloughi pedigree information or photographs (recent or older Sloughis) that I can then add to it. So do please

The Sloughi is
a numerically small breed in the UK. At present the breed
does not have champion status, although there are a few
championship shows that schedule classes for the breed. The
Sloughi Club was only founded in 1999 although the breed has
been in the UK since the 1970's it is one of those breeds
that has not been promoted and is still on the Rare Breeds
list with the UK Kennel Club. The Club does have a breed
booth at Discover Dogs (Earls Court in November) and Crufts,
due to lack of numbers it is not possible to man the stand
at all times. |
